Re: Blood stains?
LeroyJenkins was suggesting we add (much like in parasite) a damage de-buffer (stackable) to players when they kill another marine. the implication being however, what to do if the thing kills whilst in marine form, perhaps just its marine counterpart/alter ego gains the de-buffer (so he fits in) and when he alts, he goes back to regular?

Re: Blood stains?
Talking about blood, i had two ideas about it today:
1- Marine leaves a bloodstain on the ground, when hit
2- Marine leaves a blood trail when below X% health (50%, 25%, 10%, dunno)
And I liked yours

i dont really agree with this because if the de-buffer affects the thing in marine form it makes it harder for him to kill anyone else so basically if you get blood stains when you kill someone and maybe a de-buffer the thing can have the blood stains but no effect is applied although the problem is that if you all start shooting your bloody and you can tell that you dont have any de-buffer inless he could make it so that his weapon speed does go down but his damage increases so you cant tell and the dps doesnt change

I like the blood trail idea.
Thinking about it, it could give the Marines more detective work. I'm not 100% sure tho how it will work out, but I can see blood splats as a good addition to the game's mechanics.
Will try to find something interesting with this.

Re: Blood stains?
how about the thing leaves a blood trail when regenerating and when damaged
