    Petri Dish Empty Petri Dish

Flamethrower will test if blood in Petri Dish is from Thing.

Petri Dish is a separate item. Flamethrower wielder can either hold it himself or have someone hold it.

Anyone can offer their blood to the Petri Dish, but the holder can pick which one to keep for the testing.

If the tested blood is from the Thing, it'll explode and slow nearby players.

If the tested blood is from a Marine, the Flamethrower wielder will have to wait for another 60 seconds to test another blood sample.

Like the idea but I would suggest either a longer cooldown (eg 3-5 minutes) or a limited number of uses (petri dish breaks or is scorched beyond use). Otherwise games will be limited to everyone crowding in a room and forcing people to test their blood every 60 seconds which will make every game 14 minutes or less in length.

If you had it be limited use you'd be forced to more carefully choose who to test it on.

Also you could have it spawn after a certain time or after a certain objective is completed.

yea also it would suck because in the end people would sit and wait and if youre thing and you try to leave theyll shoot you and if you dont leave they will find you eventually

This is a great idea, and needed, but you will have to add a new feature for the thing also to keep it balanced (Maybe people it kills being minions)

hmm another question will you know whos blood it is lets say im the thing i give in my blood with several others mine was randomly chosen but whats the difference between each blood sample, how are we identified, our names? our current colour? also after the blood is tested there should be no way to remember who it was because if the thing cant change colours and they know what colour he is if everyone was there hes screwed.

What about a limited number of uses? like a one shot item? That'd give some hint as to who is the thing while not being completely OP
