You still haven't answered how you plan for Vic to handle the riot shield in the event of skins being added.
Like, a ghost would be cool but when you pick up the riot shield there is no indication anymore. The Thing would go to attack you, have everything planned out and then wonder why it has taken 6 hits to get close to killing you.
We could, of course, just make it so the skin automatically changes to a marine with a riot shield if you pick it up. That wouldn't have really any negatives besides not having your skin if you want that item. Ofc flamethrower is a bit different, you can essentially make a ball of light anywhere like on the end of whatever gun or in the hand of the medic or whatever.
The following is a list of skins that could be available as they have a weapon (or a place that could be one) and are ground terran infantry.
Reaper
Marine
Firebat
Medic
Ghost
Spectre
If that isn't enough to support the effort of adding this into the game, or if you wanted to have a skin for each rank that you attain (after you reach major or whatever you unlock being able to purchase a skin that, after bought, can be changed to and from whenever) then you could almost double it by having "Ultimate Skins"
Reaper
Deathhead http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Death_Head
Marine
Merc marine without shield (if possible) Warpig can't be used cuz it always has a shield so its
Firebat harder to distinguish change.)
DevilDogs http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Devil_Dogs
Medic
Sikbi's Angel http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Skibi%27s_Angel
Ghost
Possibly Nova or Kerrigan or both?
Spectre
Tosh? http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Gabriel_Tosh
Now there is one issue with this. It is almost imperative that Vic make colors appear by default. Otherwise, some units could be hard to tell the colors. This, however, is impossible if it is right in front of your face. You could turn it off, but it would be more difficult to play.
