    Hadan idea that popped into my head, but what if the current goggles also worked for night vision as well when the lights are out? You would receive extra vision range or obtain the radar tower 'senses' like he thing has. The goggles are nice to have in game already but I feel this mechanic would both make sense with the item in general as well as give reason to actually take the goggles over highly sought after grenades (in most cases I would opt for a nade over goggles).

    Just a thought.

    How about heat vision goggles? Like u see from radar tower senses and u can see ppl and burrowed thing, also see ppl and thing through door.

    Phantom, I agree that if we think with logic the goggles should allow you to see when the lights are out. 

    The issue with your argument I have is the motive. There is absolutely no way to make an item worth a grenade. They are too powerful. The only way to balance how good the items are: A) Buff every item a bit B) Nerf grenade

    I'm pretty sure the community wants neither to be honest.

    When I first came up with the Goggles I suggested night vision aswell. I still think it would be incredibly useful, and frankly since the goggles can't be used with flamer and BD I don't think it'd be OP.

    I agree. Let the goggles still see the thing while burried but also allow a marine to see like regular when the power gen goes off. Makes them a little more valuable, and that's far from being OP.

    Regardless though, giving the goggles night vision makes absolute sense.

    Unique items like the flame thrower, shield, and goggles should be top tier items given their rarity. The flame thrower has always been at this level, the shield buff has now rocketed the shield to to this level as well, but the goggles are still more of a tier 2 item then tier 1. This buff would, just like shield, give the items that little push it needs.

    Vic, any comments? Is this possible?

    My post was lost for some reason...

    I like the idea of goggles having more range when the lights are out, but I think a rebalance is immanent for these darn things anyways.
