The Thing is better in tight spaces and close combat. It would need to burrow more often.

The Thing can confront large groups, taking out at least one before having to retreat.

The Thing could eliminate solo players more easily. It could also pick off from groups.
Lurker:
Faster burrow movement speed.
Longer burrow time.
Faster burrow regeneration.
Slower movement speed.
The Thing would need to burrow all the time now. Burrowing would be a more convenient approach though.

The Thing would recover faster, allowing it to exhaust the players.
