Hmmm. Perhaps keep the formation of the boxes in tic tac toe but rework them into a new game. (or close to the formation)
Here's my idea:
Player 1, after both players have joined the game, chooses 5 of 10 boxes.
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
0
Those chosen boxes are hidden from Player 2. After all boxes have been chosen, player 2 may begin his turn. Player 2 must try to select a box Player 1 selected. For this example, Player 1 chose 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7.
Player 2 thinks his opponent will choose either 3, 4, 5, 7, or 9. He proceeds to choose the box numbered 4. Player 2 loses because he guessed incorrectly. If he had chosen 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7 he would have won.
I might make it sound complicated, but it really isn't.
One player chooses boxes, the other player has to guess which ones.
I don't know, I'm not a creative person >:l
If you want, you could make it so if you win you get like 5 marine points and if you lose you lose 5 marine points. Might make people pay attention the tiniest bit more. Really annoying to start a minigame and have the other person forget all about it.
