Marines are pretty much able to still stand inside a door way.. Lock themselves in and stay.. and maybe perhaps abuse it since they can shoot through it as well.

When I do my throw locks and chase downs as the thing this tends to happen every game because marines do not get pushed out.

I've had multiple people perfect this technique and use it to their advantage (Myself aswell), I do suggest fixing this as soon as possible.

Yah, its really OP if the Thing doesn't realize whats happening and gtf outta there immediately.
Just make it so the door pushes any units out that are inside it. :>

The only time it's been a problem is on the ship. I'm low on health, and a marine decides to be a dick and lock in the middle of the door so I can't hurt him but he can keep shooting me.

There is, in fact, something called a moltov. It is usually thrown in the shuttle so that you can't bury.

You're telling me that the entirety of one side of the shuttle is molotoved (save for the hiding spaces)? That requires 2 or possibly 3 molotovs. That can't happen often.

Self Note: If Marine attacks, check if a Door (Closed) is within 0.5 radius. If so, command unit to move at an angle of its facing.

Nice fix :> This is going to be interesting to see how it pans out. Theoretically, if someone doesn't know what they are doing and stand on the door like usual, I could sneak up as a marine, lock the door and then morph forcing them to attack. Then again, if the Thing as a marine comes charging at you attempting to lock, you must have really slow reaction speed if you haven't moved at all.

tldr Good fix, I'm an idiot.

Unnecessary as it has been proven that when marine is able to shoot, the Thing can simply use throw to pull him out.

If the Thing can't use throw to pull the marine out, the marine can't shoot either.

I've had it tested. Its a variable. Sometimes you can throw marines out, but the majority of the time you can't. I don't know exactly what causes it, but if a marine is locked inside a door and has done it correctly, then he can shoot without being thrown.

    So yes, it is necessary.
